Generally, storms will impact areas when they interact with a cold front on the ground. Along with a cold front, a 120kt jet stream will move across this region on Tuesday afternoon. The left front quadrant of the jet stream, which is the upward motion side of it, will cause strong updrafts, and may even help to support supercell thunderstorms and tornadoes. Large hail, up to the size of a baseball, will develop within this area of strong updrafts. As the temperature cools in the evening, the severity of the storms will lessen.
